Alligator Adventure

Today we slept in which was nice after the long drive yesterday. Then we got ready and went to breakfast at a local pancake house. Pigs in a Blanket breakfast style. Then we headed to Walmart to get some stuff that we needed. Then we headed to Alligator Adventure which is essentially a mini-zoo with an insanely large amount of alligators. It was really interesting.

The most exciting part was when they fed them. Surprisingly alligators don't need to eat that much. In fact they can eat as little as once a year. They use their food a lot more efficiently. The biggest and oldest alligator they have weighs a ton and is close to twenty feet long. Today he ate four rabbits for lunch. The craziest part was hearing the rabbits bones crush as the alligator dropped his jaw on them. They only have to feed him once a week.

We also got to see smaller alligators get fed and a reptile show. All in all it was well worth it to visit this place. After that we headed to the boardwalk and the beach. I went into the water for about an hour. It wasn't cold and it was fun to be in the water.

After that we had some dinner and then just chilled. On to Charelston tomorrow!
